AMR Bankruptcy Judge Mulls Pilots' Contract Stay Bids

Law360, New York (October 9, 2012, 3:32 PM EDT) -- A New York bankruptcy judge declined Tuesday to rule immediately on several pilots groups' bids for a stay pending an appeal of his Sept. 5 ruling that bankrupt American Airlines Inc. parent AMR Corp. can cancel its labor contracts with the Allied Pilots Association.

After the moving parties largely rested on their papers, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean H. Lane took three matters under advisement and gave no indication as to when a ruling would come down.
