Casey Vows To Keep Fighting Power Corridor

Law360 (October 25, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a supposed effort to protect Pennsylvania's farmland, U.S. Sen. Bob Casey has decided to play hardball as he attempts to ward off a measure that he fears would give power companies more freedom to build massive electric transmission lines despite objections from states.

The Democratic senator suffered a defeat earlier this week, after coming up short in his quest to amend the 2007 Farm Bill to protect Pennsylvania's interests related to its inclusion in the so-called “national interest electric transmission corridors.”
