Hospital, Insurers Settle Child Sex Abuse Case For $123M

Law360, New York (October 10, 2012, 9:49 PM EDT) -- The Delaware hospital that previously employed former pediatrician and convicted serial child sex offender Earl Bradley and its insurers have reached a tentative $123 million class action settlement with victims, which will be placed in a fund for their treatment.

Beebe Medical Center said Wednesday that it wanted to avoid costly, time consuming and painful litigation that would have caused the hospital to go bankrupt and further harm to the victims, opting instead for a compromise.
