Chesapeake Settles Fracking Row With Pa. Landowners

Law360, Philadelphia (October 11, 2012, 2:18 PM EDT) -- Chesapeake Energy Corp. reached a settlement with 17 Pennsylvania landowners in two suits over Marcellus shale gas leases on their properties, a federal judge announced Wednesday.

U.S. District Court Judge David Cercone’s order noting that the parties had reached an amicable resolution to both disputes provided no details on the terms of the settlement.
