Baker & McKenzie Partner Charged With Fraud Resigns

Law360, New York (October 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Law firm Baker & McKenzie LLP has said that Martin Weisberg, a partner at the firm and formerly a board member at Xybernaut Corp., who was indicted on charges of securities fraud and money laundering in a federal court in Brooklyn, has resigned at the firm's request.

“Effective immediately, he is no longer associated with our firm in any capacity,” Baker & McKenzie said.

Weisberg has pleaded not guilty. His attorney could not immediately be reached for comment on Friday.
