AstraZeneca, Sandoz Dodge $30M Medicaid Fraud Verdicts

Law360, New York (October 12, 2012, 3:42 PM EDT) -- The Kentucky Court of Appeals on Friday reversed more than $30 million in damage awards handed down by juries against Sandoz Inc. and AstraZeneca LP over alleged Medicaid fraud, finding there wasn't enough proof to back up the verdicts.

A three-judge panel for the state appeals court sent the cases back to Franklin County Circuit Court with instructions to enter judgments in favor of the drugmakers.
