BP Not Entirely Off The Hook Yet

Law360 (October 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A massive settlement with the U.S. government has done little to derail a group of shareholders from pursuing their lawsuit against British Petroleum Corp., with the plaintiffs' lawyers contending the deal does not go far enough to assuage their clients' concerns about the management of the company.

On Thursday, oil giant BP agreed to shell out $373 million to settle an array of environmental and fraud claims, including charges stemming from a fatal 2005 explosion at a Texas City plant.
