Fed. Circ. Kills La. Firms' Claim To Public Land Mineral Rights

Law360, New York (October 15, 2012, 5:58 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit on Monday affirmed the dismissal of a suit accusing the federal government of wrongfully taking landholding companies' rights to oil and gas exploration on public land, citing a 2011 U.S. Supreme Court ruling it said clarifies that the Court of Federal Claims shouldn't have taken the case.
