Piping Maker Strikes $20M Deal To End Faulty Fitting MDL

Law360, New York (October 15, 2012, 5:26 PM EDT) -- Plumbing product maker Zurn Industries LLC has reached a $20 million settlement in multidistrict litigation accusing it of negligence and breach of warranty for manufacturing allegedly faulty crimp fittings used in plumbing, according to Monday court filings.

The MDL has lasted more than five years and includes homeowner class members who allege they’ve suffered from water damage caused by the corrosion of some yellow brass fittings made by Zurn.
