Chemtura, Licensee Sent To Mediation Over Pesticide Deal

Law360, New York (October 17, 2012, 5:31 PM EDT) -- A New York state judge sent Chemtura Corp. and an Israel-based chemical supplier to a mediator Wednesday, hoping to resolve their dispute over a North American distribution agreement for a pesticide containing Chemtura patents.

The dispute involves Novaluron, an insecticide that Israel-based Makhteshim Chemical Works Ltd. developed using its patents as well as Chemtura patents under a per-patent licensing agreement.
