EPA Must Press States On Ozone Pollution Plans

Law360, New York (October 18, 2012, 3:50 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Wednesday granted environmental groups' request to force the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to address more than 40 states' failure to implement ozone pollution plans, but gave the agency more time than the groups had wanted.

WildEarth Guardians, Midwest Environmental Defense Center and the Sierra Club sued the EPA in two separate lawsuits, which were then consolidated, over the agency's alleged failure to notify states that they had not submitted the ozone plans as required by the Clean Air Act.
