2 NY Hospital Employees Get Prison For Kickback Scheme

Law360, New York (October 17, 2012, 7:23 PM EDT) -- Two former high-ranking employees of New York Presbyterian Hospital were sentenced to prison Wednesday in New York federal court, after pleading guilty to defrauding the hospital in a kickback scheme involving millions of dollars' worth of hospital contracts.

U.S. District Judge George B. Daniels ordered former NYPH vice president of facilities operations Santo Saglimbeni to spend 48 months in prison and pay a $250,000 criminal fine, while former NYPH director of facilities Emilio “Tony” Figueroa was given 36 months and a $25,000 fine, according to a...
