SEC Taps 12-Year Veteran To Lead NY Office

Law360, New York (October 17, 2012, 10:57 PM EDT) -- Twelve-year U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission veteran Andrew M. Calamari has been named director of the agency's New York regional office, the SEC said Wednesday.

Calamari has been serving as acting director of the office since the promotion of George Canellos to deputy director of the SEC's Enforcement Division in April. He will lead the staff of 400 in the SEC office responsible for the largest concentration of financial institutions.
