EU High Court Expands Venue Options For Database IP Suits

Law360, New York (October 19, 2012, 9:00 PM EDT) -- The European Union's high court on Thursday ruled that liability for infringement of database rights can extend to a different country, beyond where the allegedly infringing information is stored, if there is evidence that the company intended to target the unlawfully collected data to citizens of the other country.
