JPMorgan Energy Unit Says FERC Omission Was Honest Mistake

Law360, New York (October 18, 2012, 3:57 PM EDT) -- A JPMorgan Chase & Co. energy unit on Wednesday admitted it goofed in submitting materials to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in a dispute with California’s regional transmission organization, but urged the regulator not to suspend its authorization to sell electricity and other services at market rates.

FERC said Sept. 20 that it had preliminarily determined that JPMorgan Ventures Energy Corp. "may have omitted material information or submitted misleading information" in exchanges with the commission, the California Independent System Operator and the Department of Market Monitoring....
