ARS Files Trade Secret Suit Over VP Who Defected To UBS

Law360, New York (October 19, 2012, 3:47 PM EDT) -- Investment firm A.R. Schmeidler & Co. Inc. on Thursday sued one of its former senior vice presidents in New York state court for allegedly stealing client lists and confidential investment information and using them to poach clients for his new post at UBS Financial Services.

UBS is also named in the complaint, which accuses Michael Kahn of abruptly quitting Oct. 9 after 13 years at ARS and taking numerous trade secrets with him to UBS, where he started work the same day. At the time he...
