Ex-Chevron Engineer Wins $5.6M Jury Verdict

Law360, New York (October 30, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal jury on Monday awarded $5.6 million to a former Chevron Corp. petroleum engineer who alleged that she was wrongfully terminated for complaining about discrimination.

The jury in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California awarded Kiran Pande $836,000 in past economic loss, $2.24 million in future economic loss and $2.5 million in punitive damages.
