Law360, New York (October 19, 2012, 11:16 PM EDT) -- The Fifth Circuit on Friday held that indemnity provisions in contracts governing work on a structure in the Outer Continental Shelf are void under Louisiana law in ACE American Insurance Co.’s suit seeking to avoid paying for coverage for workers’ compensation claims related to a BP PLC contract.
