Halfway House Owner Gets 4 Years For $205M Medicare Scam

Law360, New York (October 22, 2012, 3:21 PM EDT) -- A Florida federal judge on Thursday sentenced the owner of halfway house company New Way Recovery Inc. to more than four years in prison in connection with a $205 million Medicare fraud scheme involving kickbacks from bogus claims for supposed partial hospitalization program services.
