Blue Calypso Says Yelp, Izea Infringed Mobile Ad Patents

Law360, New York (October 25, 2012, 3:53 PM EDT) -- Digital word-of-mouth marketing agency Blue Calypso Inc. claimed in a statement Thursday that review giant Yelp Inc. and social media sponsorship website Izea Inc. had infringed patents covering peer-to-peer mobile advertising technology.

In two separate complaints filed in Texas federal court on Oct. 17, Blue Calypso alleges that each company maintained online systems that infringed two of its patents covering its own state-of-the-art digital marketing platform.
