Watchdog Group Criticizes DOD Service Contracting

Law360, New York (October 25, 2012, 8:42 PM EDT) -- The nonprofit Project On Government Oversight on Thursday pushed lawmakers to improve oversight of the hundreds of billions of dollars that the U.S. Department of Defense spends annually on service contracts, saying that the DOD's "inept accounting system and budgeting process" block efforts to boost transparency and accountability.
