Calif. PAC Donation Case May Lead To New Disclosure Rules

Law360, San Diego (October 26, 2012, 10:11 PM EDT) -- The California Fair Political Practices Commission is suing to force an Arizona nonprofit to reveal who is behind an $11 million contribution to a committee that is opposing the California governor’s tax hike initiative, but even if the case is unsuccessful, legislative changes to campaign finance disclosure rules are on the horizon, experts said Friday.
