Government Says 2nd Circ. DOMA Case Ripe For Review

Law360, New York (October 26, 2012, 8:35 PM EDT) -- The Obama administration on Friday pushed the U.S. Supreme Court to take up a recent Second Circuit case concerning the ban on federal benefits for same-sex couples, calling it "the most appropriate vehicle for this court's resolution of the constitutionality" of the Defense of Marriage Act.
