Tower Welders File Donning, Doffing FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (November 1, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Tower Automotive Inc. has been hit with a suit that accuses it of not paying its welders for the time they spent putting on and taking off required safety gear.

The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi Wednesday by Anthony Brown as an opt-in collective action. Brown said he had been a welder for the auto parts maker's Canton, Miss., plant for five years until April of this year,
