Calif. Proposal Would Force Political Donors Out Of Hiding

Law360, San Diego (October 30, 2012, 3:12 PM EDT) -- After a California political watchdog sued a nonprofit to reveal the sources behind an $11 million contribution to a committee fighting Gov. Jerry Brown's tax measure, a state senator announced plans Tuesday to introduce legislation that would ramp up requirements for disclosing donors who go through nonprofits to sway elections in the state.
