Rosetta Stone, Google Settle AdWords Trademark Row

Law360, New York (October 31, 2012, 4:35 PM EDT) -- Rosetta Stone Inc. and Google Inc. on Wednesday settled a trademark infringement suit in Virginia federal court claiming the search giant's AdWords software violated Rosetta Stone's trademarks by selling online ads featuring the language learning software company's name.

In a joint stipulation of dismissal, Rosetta Stone and Google asked a Virginia federal court to dismiss the case with prejudice, following the Fourth Circuit's decision in April that revived the case by vacating Google’s earlier summary judgment award.
