Rosetta Stone, Google Settle AdWords Trademark Row

Law360, New York (October 31, 2012, 4:35 PM EDT) -- Rosetta Stone Inc. and Google Inc. on Wednesday settled a trademark infringement suit in Virginia federal court claiming the search giant's AdWords software violated Rosetta Stone's trademarks by selling online ads featuring the language learning software company's name.

In a joint stipulation of dismissal, Rosetta Stone and Google asked a Virginia federal court to dismiss the case with prejudice, following the Fourth Circuit's decision in April that revived the case by vacating Google’s earlier summary judgment award. No further details regarding the settlement agreement were released....
