MoFo Survey Finds US Economic Doubts Stifling Tech M&A

Law360, New York (October 31, 2012, 7:39 PM EDT) -- Doubts about the long-term sustainability of the U.S. economic recovery and concerns over the European debt crisis have depressed technology mergers and acquisitions activity over the past six months, according to a recent study co-authored by Morrison & Foerster LLP.

The study, which polled 300 senior executives across the technology industry, found that 37 percent of companies in the sector experienced decreased M&A activity over the past six months, up from 23 percent from a similar survey in April. Just 39 percent of respondents reported increased...
