Kodak Creditors Want To Pursue Claims Against Debtholders

Law360, New York (November 1, 2012, 9:14 PM EDT) -- Eastman Kodak Co.'s official committee of unsecured creditors asked a New York bankruptcy judge Wednesday for permission to prosecute and possibly settle claims against Kodak debtholders in order to avoid their liens and security interests pertaining to certain collateral, including foreign and domestic patents.

The committee argues that it should be granted standing to prosecute the claims since Kodak has waived its ability to go after such claims, they are likely to benefit Kodak’s estate and the grounds for the claims are reasonable.
