Merck Puts Up $39M To Settle Vioxx Class Action

Law360, New York (November 1, 2012, 10:11 PM EDT) -- Merck & Co. Inc. is paying $39 million to settle a proposed $220 million class action in Missouri state court over economic losses allegedly caused by undisclosed health risks of the arthritic pain reliever Vioxx, attorneys said Thursday.

Under the recently released settlement terms, qualifying Missouri customers of Vioxx may be reimbursed in full for their Vioxx purchases, according to the settlement documents.
