Dallas College Aims To Stop ACA Contraceptive Coverage

Law360, Houston (November 2, 2012, 4:36 PM EDT) -- A Texas college on Thursday launched a suit in federal court against the Obama administration, becoming the latest Christian-based employer seeking to block provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act that mandate insurance coverage for contraceptives.

The Criswell College claims that by implementing the ACA, the federal government violated the Religious Freedom Restoration Act and the U.S. Constitution, by forcing religious employers to use their health care dollars to cover what it calls “abortion-inducing" drugs like the morning-after pill.
