DOJ Probes Novartis Ties With Specialty Pharmacies

Law360, New York (November 6, 2012, 6:18 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice is investigating relationships between specialty pharmacies and Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. regarding some of its products, including iron reduction drug Exjade, according to regulatory filings and a Novartis statement released Tuesday.

Express Scripts Inc. said Accredo Health Group, a subsidiary that offers specialty pharmacy services, had received a subpoena Oct. 1 from the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
