Pepperidge Farm Falsely Touts Goldfish As 'Natural,' Suit Says

Law360, Chicago (November 6, 2012, 8:12 PM EST) -- Pepperidge Farm Inc. was hit with a putative class action in Colorado federal court on Tuesday accusing it of deceptively advertising its cheddar Goldfish crackers as being "natural" even though they actually contain genetically modified soybean oil.

Colorado resident Sonya Bolerjack alleges she would not have bought the crackers if she knew they contained GMOs, and that she and other consumers have been economically damaged as a result of their Goldfish purchases.
