Pfizer Loses Drawn-Out Battle Over Generic Neurontin

Law360, New York (August 24, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge in New Jersey has ruled in favor of five generic makers in their battle against drug giant Pfizer, Inc. over rights to the epilepsy drug Neurontin.

A judge in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey granted a joint motion for summary judgment filed by the defendants, Alpharma, Teva, Ivax, Apotex, and Eon, in the patent litigation regarding gabapentin, the generic version of Neurontin.
