KV Pharma, Ill. End Medicaid Coverage Dispute Over Makena

Law360, New York (November 7, 2012, 3:46 PM EST) -- An Illinois federal judge has dismissed KV Pharmaceutical Co.'s suit over an Illinois policy it said unlawfully restricted Medicaid coverage for premature birth prevention drug Makena, after the parties agreed to end the matter, according to a court filing made Monday.

In a brief order dated Oct. 25, but filed with the court Monday, U.S District Judge Joan H. Lefkow voluntarily dismissed the case following a request by KV, after it had previously flagged that it was working toward a settlement with the state’s Department of...
