I2, SAP Infringement Suit Begins Mediation

Law360, New York (November 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Even as the litigation continues, a magistrate judge has appointed a mediator to oversee settlement negotiations in i2 Technologies Inc.'s lawsuit alleging that German business-software giant SAP AG infringed its patents for supply-chain management computer programs.

On Nov. 2, Magistrate Judge Charles Everingham IV of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas appointed retired judge Robert Faulkner to oversee mediation in the case, which was first filed in September 2006. The mediation is not to last past Aug. 1, 2008.
