CPUC OKs Utility Efficiency, Renewable Energy Programs

Law360, New York (November 8, 2012, 8:14 PM EST) -- The California Public Utilities Commission on Thursday approved renewable energy procurement plans and a suite of energy efficiency programs for the state's major utilities, paving the way for new clean power projects and new electricity savings.

The CPUC unanimously voted to approve energy efficiency programs for Pacific Gas & Electric Co., Southern California Edison Co. and San Diego Gas & Electric Co., and accepted the utilities' renewable portfolio standard procurement plans.
