Civil Liberties Group Backs “Clean Movie” Companies

Law360, New York (August 24, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), a civil liberties organization, filed an amicus brief on behalf of “clean movie” companies Tuesday, throwing its support to the copying of movies for the purpose of editing out objectionable scenes.

The brief adds new color the growing battle between the entertainment industry and movie-editing companies like Family Flicks LLC, Play it Clean Video and Clean Flicks LLC.
