Zimmer Must Face Most Of Stryker Poaching, Trade Secrets Suit

Law360, New York (November 14, 2012, 7:18 PM EST) -- A New Jersey federal judge on Wednesday refused to toss much of a Stryker Corp. unit's suit alleging Zimmer Inc. unfairly poached several sales employees, keeping in place claims that Zimmer stole trade secrets and that the employees breached their contracts with Stryker.

In a split ruling, U.S. District Judge Dennis M. Cavanaugh partially denied motions for summary judgment filed by Zimmer and a group of employees targeted as defendants, ruling that many of the claims made by Stryker subsidiary Howmedica Osteonics Corp. should be resolved...
