Gastar Wants Out Of $130M Chesapeake Joint Venture Dispute

Law360, New York (November 15, 2012, 3:01 PM EST) -- Gastar Exploration Ltd. on Wednesday asked a Texas federal judge to toss a Chesapeake Energy Corp. unit’s $130 million suit seeking to rescind contracts for a botched joint venture, saying Chesapeake was aware of a third-party claim to several Gastar oil and gas leases and signed the contracts anyway.
