DOJ Allows Star Atlantic's $2B Veolia Buy, With Conditions

Law360, New York (November 15, 2012, 3:42 PM EST) -- Private equity-owned Star Atlantic Waste Holdings LP has won antitrust approval for its proposed $1.9 billion purchase of Veolia Environnement SA's solid waste management business after the companies agreed to sell assets in New Jersey and Georgia, the U.S. Department of Justice said Thursday.
