Judge Won't Block Tax Hike To Fund Austin Med School

Law360, Houston (November 16, 2012, 6:22 PM EST) -- A Texas federal judge on Thursday rejected a challenge by a group of Austin voters to overturn a recently approved ballot proposition to increase property taxes to fund a medical school, ruling that the measure as proposed did not impede minority voting rights.
