NY Targets 13 Gas Stations Over Post-Sandy Price-Gouging

Law360, New York (November 15, 2012, 10:23 PM EST) -- New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman on Thursday targeted more than a dozen gas station operators in enforcement suits in response to “hundreds” of complaints that they illegally spiked gas prices after Hurricane Sandy.

Schneiderman took aim at 13 businesses in Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx and other counties for allegedly increasing gas prices in violation of state laws against price-gouging, according to a statement by the New York attorney general’s office Thursday.
