Senate Sends FTC Fraud Enforcement Bill To Obama

Law360, New York (November 16, 2012, 6:16 PM EST) -- The U.S. Senate on Wednesday passed a bipartisan House of Representatives bill to reauthorize online fraud enforcement provisions that allow the Federal Trade Commission to share information with foreign counterparts in order to combat cross-border fraud, spyware and spam attacks.

By a voice vote, the Senate approved legislation to extend until 2020 the Undertaking Spam, Spyware and Fraud Enforcement With Enforcers Beyond Borders Act of 2006, a step that the House took in September.
