Obama Picks Brooklyn Law Prof. For CIT Bench

Law360, New York (November 16, 2012, 4:55 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama has tapped an international business law professor from Brooklyn Law School to fill a vacant seat on the New York-based U.S. Court of International Trade, the White House said Wednesday.

Claire R. Kelly, a member of Brooklyn Law's faculty since 1997, will take the seat vacated by longtime CIT judge Evan Wallach, who left for the Federal Circuit just less than a year ago. Kelly is Obama's second nomination to the trade court.
