Wal-Mart Files NLRB Charge To Block Union Protests

Law360, New York (November 16, 2012, 8:09 PM EST) -- Wal-Mart Stores Inc. on Thursday filed an unfair labor practice complaint against the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union in an attempt to stop what it says is illegal picketing before the busiest shopping day of the year, which is just days away.

A filing with the National Labor Relations Board says the union has, for the last six months to a year, has been picketing and causing disruptions at Wal-Mart stores across several states without a representation petition being filed within a reasonable time...
