Dell Seeks Sanctions Against Mass Engineered Design

Law360, New York (November 7, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Dell Inc. said on Tuesday that Mass Engineered Design Inc. had been uncooperative during a deposition on claims construction in a patent dispute between the companies, and asked the court to sanction Mass by limiting the evidence it could present at the Markman hearing scheduled later this month.

On Thursday, however, the court denied Dell's motion to expedite consideration of its motion, making it less likely that the court would consider the motion before the claim construction hearing.
