Brokers Target Advocate Mortgage Group In FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (November 7, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Overtime suits against financial services companies are taking on a special significance in light of the mortgage industry's recent troubles, said the attorney who filed a putative collective action lawsuit Tuesday against Advocate Mortgage Group Inc. on behalf of three former brokers.

The complaint was filed against Baltimore-based Advocate Mortgage and executive Paul Krueger on Tuesday. It is the second time Advocate Mortgage has been hit with a Fair Labor Standards Act complaint in Maryland since June.
