Northeast Dairy Farmers Win Class Cert. In Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (November 19, 2012, 8:36 PM EST) -- A Vermont federal judge on Monday certified a class of milk producers who claim industry cooperative Dairy Farmers of America Inc. conspired with major food companies to drive down prices in the Northeast.

U.S. District Judge Christina Reiss granted the farmers' motion for class certification, just under one year after she denied a similar motion on the grounds that the suit hadn't fully shown a common antitrust impact on the farmers.
