TVA Coal Ash Disaster Damages Row Sent To Mediation

Law360, New York (November 20, 2012, 2:39 PM EST) -- A Tennessee federal judge on Monday ordered the Tennessee Valley Authority to enter mediation to determine individual damages for the more than 800 plaintiffs suing the agency over a 2008 dike failure that dumped 5.4 million cubic yards of toxic coal ash sludge into a nearby river.
