Edwards Wildman, Ex-Partner Still Headed To Trial Over Pay

Law360, Washington (November 26, 2012, 3:58 PM EST) -- A New York state judge on Wednesday refused to stop an employment dispute between Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP and a former partner from going to trial, despite claims the law firm could escape paying appropriate damages because of the judge's prior orders.

Judge Melvin L. Schweitzer in September determined the case about former partner Stephen R. Connoni's firing in violation of his employment agreement would go to trial, saying there was “no doubt” that Connoni was fired without the partnership vote required by his employment agreement....
